The European Youth Award of the Council of Europe presents the thirteen most innovative digital initiatives in Europe – the winners of this year’s contest. The Winners Event (EYA Festival), to honour the creative minds behind these projects will take place in Graz, Austria, from November 18–21. The start-up ‘NOC’ developed in the Netherlands by two Italians is among the 13 amazing winners of Europe’s unique contest for young & smart digital social start-ups. 17 international experts selected this year’s most outstanding digital projects having impact on society in the European Youth Capital Cluj-Napoca.

‘NOC’ is developed in The Hague, the Netherlands by young and smart social entrepreneurs from Italy who bundled forces to set new creativity and innovation standards in the digital world. ‘NOC’ is a platform that helps you meet new people and make new friends based on shared interests. You can either join a meetup or Noc someone specific. Then you meet up and make a new friend!
The winning teams come from 10 different countries – Austria (2), Czech Republic, France, Germany (3), Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine. They are invited to showcase their projects at the Winners Event (EYA Festival) in Graz, Austria, from November 18-21. This three-day-long Festi-val is a unique event combining knowledge, innovation, networking, inspiration and motivation. On the basis of their presentation, the EYA Festival Grand Jury will select the Overall Winner 2015.

Apart from being recognized on this international stage and getting access to the vibrant EYA network, ‘NOC’ and the other EYA winners gain much more: students from all over Europe will develop project analyses and each project will be taken under one mentor’s wing for two months. “GovFaces has bene-fited enormously from the award which played a central role in helping to affirm, validate and legitimize the quality and aspirations of our work.” summarizes Jon Mark Walls, CEO of EYA Winner 2014 GovFaces, his experiences.
