Maggie Feng, director of Wittenborg University (private international higher education institute in Apeldoorn), came to the Netherlands 15 years ago with a 10-months valid flight ticket from Beijing. 23 years of age, never traveled abroad, her only plan was to finish the second degree in 10 months time, and fly back to Beijing to start a career as junior manager in a large Chinese firm. All planned well, however her last 15 years’ career proved one Chinese proverb “Changing plan is often faster than making one.” She hopes to inspire others by sharing her experience, her principle, value & vision.
Wittenborg although still small (currently some 400 students from more than 60), has grown around 25% per year. It is one of the most international, privately funded institutes in the Netherlands, and aims to become a top ranking institute in the field of international management and sustainable business development.
Maggie Feng grew up in the heart of the Chinese capitol, coming to the Netherlands as an exchange student from the Beijing University of Technology. After completion of a Bachelor program in Information Services Management and Engineering Management, Maggie gained a Master of Science in Facility Management from the University of Greenwich (UK), in 2001. In 2002 she joined the management team of Wittenborg.
